Our Annual Appeal
The annual Appeal in support of Catholic Charities of Buffalo and the Fund for the Faith is conducted from January through June.
Catholic Charities spreads the good in our communities through vital services ranging from emergency assistance to job training to counseling and mental health services for all ages. We do it for more than 136,000 people in need. And we do it to realize the good that is in each person, and in our community as a whole.
Fund for the Faith continues to provide spiritual nourishment throughout our diocese today. Proceeds provide ministry support services that are instrumental to the vitality of our faith experience and enable us to more effectively spread the Gospel message of Christ’s love.
It is our hope and prayer that a successful Fund for the Faith drive will help restore and support expanded ministries including Catholic education and formation programming for youth & young families.
Prayer for Appeal 2026
St. Peter, rock of the Church, we turn to you in prayer as patron of Appeal 2026. Intercede for us before the throne of grace, that our hearts may be generous and our efforts fruitful in reaching the Appeal goal.
Guide all who labor in this mission of HOPE, that their work may reflect Christ’s compassion and love for all. Bless the donors, volunteers, and staff with strength and unity of purpose. Inspire the people of our community to respond with open hearts, so that no one in need is left unaided.
We pray that through your intercession, the Lord will watch over the poor, the vulnerable, the lonely — that they may find HOPE, dignity, and healing.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
