Catholic Charities of Buffalo Appoints Deneb Pirrone Chief Administrative Officer

Catholic Charities of Buffalo today announced the appointment of Deneb Pirrone to chief administrative officer, a newly created position for the human services agency. In his new role, Pirrone oversees facilities, data analytics, and information technology in addition to his current responsibilities leading compliance and quality. He is also a member  of the executive team and responsible for enterprise risk management, organizational effectiveness, and administrative operations. 

“Deneb’s efforts in stepping-in to lead key administrative departments at a time of significant change among the senior leadership team combined with his experience and broad skill set, made the decision to elevate him to this role an easy one to make,” said Tony DeSimone, president and CEO of Catholic Charities. “With his continued oversight of our compliance efforts, we are also able to ensure continuity of leadership for the agency’s adherence to regulatory requirements.”

Pirrone joined Catholic Charities in 2021 as corporate compliance and quality officer and was promoted to chief compliance and quality officer in 2024. He continues to serve as the agency’s chief compliance and HIPAA privacy officer and is a dedicated staff resource for the audit & compliance and performance & quality improvement committees of the board of trustees. With more than 25 years of leadership experience, Pirrone holds both a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in business administration from University at Buffalo School of Management. A lifelong Buffalo resident, Pirrone is also past president and former board member of the Black Rock Riverside Alliance.
