Catholic Charities is pleased to offer to adults 55 and older who are currently homeless the opportunity to apply for a permanent living situation in a new apartment. In addition to low-barrier, affordable housing, these apartments offer case management services to help individuals lead more stable lives.

Angela’s House
590 Doat St., Cheektowaga, NY
The Angela’s House supportive housing program offers one-bedroom apartments in a setting that can accommodate individuals in need of mobility, hearing and visual adaptations.
Pilgrim Village
99 Best St., Buffalo, NY
A similar opportunity for older adults who are currently homeless and meet income eligibility will open in the coming months at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Best Street.
Criteria for Eligibility
- Currently Homeless
- Income below 30% of area median income
- 55 and older
- Currently enrolled in Medicaid
- Frail/needing assistance with activities of daily living or
- Have an eligible chronic condition or physical disability
Acceptable living situations at the time of referral include sheltered, unsheltered, *prison, *hospital, *skilled nursing facility, or *Medical Respite.
*Persons referred must have been homeless prior to placement in hospitals or medical respite. Those coming from skilled nursing facilities must be residing in a SNF for at least 90 days and have no dwelling to be discharged to.
